If you get a
TemplateDoesNotExist error, this means that Django can't find a template with the specified name in the places it expects to. Typically, there are two causes of this:
- the template itself is in the wrong directory, or is misnamed
- the reference to the template in the code is incorrect.
The template needs to be somewhere in
/templates , and the path has to match the path set in the code.
For example, if the template is referred to in the code as
my_template.html , then Django will be expecting to find it at
